A powerful tool connecting local people with similar interests on-demand, facilitating meaningful and genuine relationships (in a world increasingly devoid of them). Since the pandemic, this app’s progression has been challenging, but with the forthcoming recovery, people are longing to reconnect now more than ever. This app fulfills this pervasive human need. and we’re extremely excited about next steps!

Created and launched, 2016. Experience-sharing mobile app, it writes your story for you. AI-integrated technology which takes anyone’s personal experience (via platform questionnaire), instantly composes a short story, and automatically publishes and distributes it to your choice of social media platforms. It’s been especially gratifying to provide those who can’t write (or don’t have time to) with the ability to now easily share their experiences in written form with others.

CEO/Founder, June 2013. End-point protection software company, allowing business customers to protect their digital intellectual assets. Successfully established partnerships with multiple Hong Kong, South Korean and Dubai IT companies/distributorships, allowing for over 1.1 million installations worldwide. Plugging the heretofore “unpluggable” security holes of our international corporate clients (LG, Samsung, POSCO, SK Telecom) was especially gratifying. MyGuard was acquired by Samsung Software Solutions in July 2016.

Acquired, late 2013.  Connec is a B2B accounting software product servicing the SMB market.  This software system added value to previous Sevora acquisition to more broadly serve the SMB sector, quantitatively enabling these businesses to become far more productive.

Acquired early 2013.  Servora is an ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) software, the first complete ERP solution targeting the SMB sector.   What’s particularly rewarding about this venture was teaming with such great technical talent, a collaboration which continues to this day.  So grateful to surround myself with such exceptional people who share the same creative vision/dream.

KPAX Lighting

Costa Mesa, CA and Seoul, South Korea

President US, 2012-2013.  KPAX specialized in innovative LED products utilizing South Korea (LG Electronics) technology.  Successfully launched and marketed a series of new, affordable LED lighting products in US marketplace (Leviton, Home Depot).  Innovative technology is always exciting (including the challenges certifying with US Department of Energy, Southern California Edison, etc.), but to deliver a safe consumer electrical product—from concept through manufacture through delivery to the consumer—is a truly humbling yet amazing experience.

Cyma Orchid

Oxnard, CA

Executive VP, 2010-2012. Successfully turned around entire company in 15 months, reinventing and launching innovative new retail marketing of all orchid products through major national retail chains (Home Depot, Albertsons). Secured unprecedented 4-year multi-million-dollar contract as primary vendor, accomplished solely through my unique collaboration with all parties (local farmers up to Home Depot national headquarters). One of the most profoundly rewarding (and touching) experiences of my business career—literally saving a failing company and the over 100 workers/families whose livelihoods depended upon it.

Magnus Group

Irvine, CA

Co-Principal, 2003-2009. Spearheaded investment company which acquired numerous real estate properties and commercial businesses throughout Southern California, Colorado, Nevada and Texas. Personally negotiated and established market alliances with major funding companies, private investment firms, and national banking institutions. Particularly enriching was to single-handedly build a team of over 180 brand new employees (from groundskeepers to C-level executives), in two years nearly doubling the value of the Country Club & Resort business.

OEI FAB Automation

Seattle, WA

Marketing Director, 1998-2002. Developed proprietary semiconductor wafer fab automation software business, marketing software products and services to customers including: Sharp Electronics (Japan), TSMC (Taiwan), Lucent Technology (US and Spain), Hyundai Electronics (Korea) and Fujitsu USA. Extremely proud of the fact that this software continues to be utilized to this day.

Tektronix/Hewlett Packard

Vancouver, WA

Software engineer and market segment manager, 1992-1998. Developed software and oversaw acquisition of software solutions for workstations and color printer products, establishing strategic partnerships with over fifty (50) new software companies. The corporate work experience gained here established the foundation for so much of what was to follow.
